Plans and limits

Notes on specific limits

The watermark is an ArenaDirector mark in the centre of the live canvas output on the Free and Audio plans. When Club or a higher plan becomes active, ArenaDirector removes it immediately, without a restart. Perimeter canvases never carry the watermark, because they are a paid feature.

Keyboard control is available on all plans. Dedicated hardware controllers need Audio or a higher plan. On Free, Configuration → Venue → External control shows the built-in Keyboard controller, and you bind its actions to keys of a standard USB or Bluetooth keyboard. Hardware controllers show Audio required and do not fire actions.

LED surfaces are available on Club and higher plans. On Free and Audio, under Configuration → Venue → Patch, + Add output → LED boards asks you to upgrade, and ArenaDirector does not start an LED canvas at start-up, including LED walls that you configured before this release. On Club, an LED perimeter plays an idle clip or a sequence, which is how a pre-produced sponsor loop runs there.

Sponsor rotations are available on Pro. On Club, the Perimeter view asks you to upgrade. If the plan drops below Pro, playing rotations stop. ArenaDirector keeps their content, and the rotations come back when you upgrade.

NDI network output is available on Pro. See Publish a canvas over NDI.

OSC control is available on Pro and higher plans. Below Pro, ArenaDirector does not open the OSC port. The OSC pane opens with its controls disabled and an Upgrade to Pro button, and the + Add step ▾ menu shows Pro required on Send OSC. ArenaDirector keeps the targets and the steps that you made. See OSC control.

Sponsors and proof of play are available on Pro and higher plans. On Free, Audio and Club, the Sponsors and Proof of play panes show Pro required and Upgrade, and ArenaDirector records nothing. If you move to Pro later, the log has no entries for earlier matches. If you need proof of airtime for a whole season, get the plan before the season starts.

You set the number of devices that a licence activates in your account at arenadirector.com.

When you reach a limit

The app tells you where you hit the limit. For example, when you add a second bus on Free, it shows the limit and the plan that raises it. At the limit of a paid plan, the app names the next plan, for example: "Audio is limited to 3 audio buses. Pro is unlimited." The control stays visible but disabled, so you can see what a higher plan adds.

If a subscription ends, ArenaDirector keeps the configuration you made on the higher plan, but you cannot use it until you get that plan again.
