Main window
The main window has four parts: the top bar, the notice row, the outputs strip and the status bar. There is no left sidebar.
Top bar
The top bar is 48 px high. It holds the logo, the page tabs and, at the right, the status controls.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Hot buttons, Sequences, Perimeter, Overlays, Library, Settings | Page tabs with an icon and a label. Perimeter shows only when your plan includes the LED surface. Overlays shows only when your plan includes overlay authoring. |
| On air | Shows the number of items on air and up to two names. Select it to open a list that groups them as Sequences, Rotations, Hot buttons and Overlays. Select a row to open its page. The list has no stop control. |
| Venue health | Shows the venue name and a status glyph. Select it to list problems: an output that is not connected, a stream that is lost or stalled, a controller that is disconnected or in error, and a busy GPU. Select a row or Open Patch to open Settings. |
| License grace chip | Shows when the computer is offline and fewer than 3 days of grace remain. It is amber below 3 days and red below 1 day. Select it to open Configuration → License. |
| Free plan · Upgrade… | Shows on the Free plan only. Opens Configuration → License. |
| Live values | Opens the live values of the overlays. It shows only when your plan includes overlay authoring. See Drive an overlay live. |
| Help | Documentation, Release notes, Open-source notices… and About ArenaDirector. |
When the window is narrower than 1500 px, the top bar becomes compact:
- The page tabs have less padding.
- On air hides the names.
- Venue health shortens the venue name.
- The license grace chip drops Offline · and shows only the time that remains.
- Live values shows only the number of overlays on air.
Notice row
The notice row is 36 px high and sits under the top bar. It shows one notice at a time, the most urgent first. N more cycles to the next notice.
| Notice | Controls |
|---|---|
| GPU warning | Dismiss. The notice clears by itself after 10 seconds. |
| Restart to load everything your new plan unlocks | Restart now, Later |
Outputs strip
The outputs strip is 128 px high and sits above the status bar. It has one tile for each canvas, bus and stream.
| Tile state | Look |
|---|---|
| On air | Green border |
| Canvas without a screen | Dashed amber border and No screen in this venue |
| Bus with a missing device | Dashed border and Not connected |
| Lost stream | Lost chip, dashed border and Fallback on screen |
Status bar
The status bar is 32 px high and sits at the bottom of the window.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Outputs | Opens and closes the outputs strip. The app remembers the setting. The strip is open by default on windows that are 900 px high or more. |
| Output chips | While the strip is closed, a chip for each canvas, bus and stream. A green dot marks an output that is playing. A chip with a problem (for example lost · fallback on screen, not connected or no screen) comes first. A playing bus shows its level (for example -12 dB). |
| Background work chip | Shows the library indexing and processing state. See Manage background processing. |
| CPU | The load across all processor cores, in percent, with a small meter. |
| RAM | Memory in use, as a percentage of total memory, with a small meter. Hover over it to see the amount (for example 12.3 GB of 32 GB). |
| GPU | The GPU load in percent, with a small meter. |
| Clock | The time of day as HH:mm:ss. |
The meters show how close the computer is to its limit. They measure the whole computer, not only ArenaDirector.
| Meter | CPU and RAM | GPU |
|---|---|---|
| Green | Below 75 % | The GPU has headroom. |
| Amber | 75 % or more | The GPU has little headroom left. |
| Red with a warning sign | 90 % or more | The GPU is at its limit. |
