| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Bus | An audio destination: a name for one or more stereo pairs on your audio devices. How playback works |
| Cabinet | The area of pixels that one LED receiving card controls. You count sections in cabinets. LED boards |
| Canvas | A video destination. It has a size, and it works even when no screen is connected. Canvases, surfaces and displays |
| Coupled item | A rotation item that plays on two or more sections at the same time. It waits until all of these sections are free. Build a rotation |
| Cue | One segment of a sequence, with media on lanes. Cues play in order, from top to bottom. Build a sequence |
| Cue point | A marker on a media file that sets where playback starts, stops or loops. Set cue points |
| Cue set | A named group of cue points on one file. A hot button source selects the set to use. Set cue points |
| Derived value | A team value that the app calculates, for example the players on the court or the time left on a penalty. You cannot change it. Overlays and the live-value store |
| Display | A physical screen. The app recognizes the same display after you change the cables or restart. Canvases, surfaces and displays |
| Field | A named value in the live-value store that an overlay reads, for example a score or a clock. Overlays and the live-value store |
| Folding | Arranging a surface that is too wide for the input of a sending card into rows that fit in that input. Fold onto a sending card |
| Gap | Time in a rotation when a section shows nothing, for example when a coupled item waits. The editor shows it hatched and the board shows black. Build a rotation |
| Hot button | One button on the grid. Pushing it plays the media you gave it. Hot buttons, sequences and rotations |
| Idle content | What a canvas shows when no other content claims it: an image, a looped clip or a live input stream, with optional audio. Create a canvas |
| Input stream | A live video feed that the app receives over NDI or SRT. It shows as a tile in the bottom strip. Add an input stream |
| Lane | A row in a sequence cue. It holds the media for one destination: the audio lane, or one screen target. Build a sequence |
| LED wall | A flat grid of LED cabinets that the app controls as one canvas. It plays one picture across its whole surface. LED boards |
| Leg | The claim of a canvas or a bus on one output. A leg is either driven or not. Canvases, surfaces and displays |
| Levelling | Turning each track up or down so that all tracks play at the same loudness (-16 LUFS). Loudness levelling |
| Live-value store | The shared set of fields that overlays read. You change these fields during a match. Overlays and the live-value store |
| LUFS | Loudness Units relative to Full Scale: the loudness of a track, averaged over its full length. Loudness levelling |
| Match | One game: its sport, teams, fields, values and overlays. One match is active at a time. Overlays and the live-value store |
| NDI | Network Device Interface: a standard for sending video and audio between programs and devices over an ordinary network, without a capture card. Publish a canvas over NDI |
| Output | A piece of hardware that a canvas or a bus plays on: a screen, LED boards, a network feed or speakers. You create and name it once, for all canvases and buses that use it. Add an output |
| Overlay | Graphics that the app draws on top of a canvas while other content plays below them. Overlays and the live-value store |
| Overlay directive | An instruction on one clip of a hot button or cue that shows or hides one overlay when that clip plays. Overlays and the live-value store |
| Page | A tab of hot buttons, used only for organization. Changing the page does not stop any playback. Organize pages |
| Patch | The pane that lists the outputs of this venue. You create, name and remove outputs there. It does not send content to them. Configuration window |
| Perimeter board | The long, low LED run beside the playing area, along the edge of a pitch or court. LED boards |
| PFL | Pre-fade listening: a cue bus or headphone bus for listening to audio before the house hears it. Set up a bus |
| Roster | The players of a team. A Roster element shows them in an overlay. Pro plan. Overlays and the live-value store |
| Rotation | A continuous loop of sponsor images and clips on a perimeter board. Hot buttons, sequences and rotations |
| Section | A named run of cabinets that the app controls separately, for example one side of a perimeter ring. LED boards |
| Sending card | The unit that sends the picture to your LED boards. Your computer sees it as a screen. LED boards |
| Sequence | A saved program of cues that plays automatically in the background. Hot buttons, sequences and rotations |
| Show | Your canvases, buses and hot buttons. Configuration window |
| Source | The media in a hot button, a cue lane or a rotation item. How playback works |
| Surface | A description of one physical LED installation: the cabinet size, the sections and the fold. Canvases, surfaces and displays |
| Sync group | Outputs that the app keeps in step with each other. Initially, all outputs are in one group, House. Canvases, surfaces and displays |
| Takeover | A live trigger that claims a destination from a background program. Takeover and resume |
| Team key | The short lower-case name of a team, for example nhf. It starts the field name of each team stat. Overlays and the live-value store |
| Team stat | A count for each team, for example timeouts, kept as a field in the live-value store. Overlays and the live-value store |
| Team store | Saved teams and their players, for use in the next show. Pro plan. Overlays and the live-value store |
| True peak (dBTP) | The highest level of a track's waveform, including the level between samples. Loudness levelling |
| Venue | The physical outputs of one place, and the input streams and controllers that you use there. Configuration window |
| Venue device | A shared venue PC that uses a license of your organization without a personal sign-in. You register it with a pairing code that an administrator approves in the portal. Pro plan. Activate a license |
| Venue mode | A canvas that fills all of its assigned display. Canvases, surfaces and displays |
| Virtual item | The dashed copy of a coupled item in each of its other sections. Select it to edit the home item. Build a rotation |
| Visibility policy | How an active overlay behaves during a takeover: it stays on top, or it hides automatically. Overlays and the live-value store |
